Terms & Conditions

1.     By law, all animals treated by Sarah Allen must be registered with a Vet to receive maintenance treatments. Sarah will request your veterinary practice details prior to treatment. If the horse or pony is being referred to Sarah Allen for treatment post injury or illness, permission will need to be obtained from the treating vet prior to treatment. If there is any difficulty in obtaining this from your veterinary surgeon, it is your responsibility to ensure this documentation is acquired and delivered via email or post to Sarah Allen prior to attending your first appointment.

2.     It is a fundamental requirement by Equine S.M.A.R.T that Sarah Allen must have adequate public liability and malpractice insurance cover before commencing any treatments.

3.     Whilst every care is taken of the Horse/Pony undergoing treatment, it is done so entirely at their owner’s risk.

4.     Owners are required to notify Sarah Allen if, during a course of treatments, the animal’s injury or condition worsens, or if the Veterinary Surgeon advises that treatment is stopped or suspended.

5.     If your animal has an infectious/contagious condition you must inform Sarah Allen as soon as possible, giving at least 24 hours’ notice, and arrange to reschedule your appointment. Your animal must have been free from symptoms of sickness for 48 hours before Equine Sports Massage Therapy can be performed. You agree that Sarah Allen will contact your veterinary surgeon to ascertain the health status of your horse or pony and their suitability to receive Equine Sports Massage Therapy if deemed necessary.

6.     If you need to cancel an appointment a minimum of 48hours’ notice is required. Cancellations made within the 48-hour time frame prior to your appointment will incur the full treatment charge.

7.     The preferred method of payment is Cash or Bank Transfer. Payment is required at the time of treatment. Sarah Allen reserves the right to pursue any unpaid accounts in any manner deemed appropriate. This may include the use of a debt collection service or civil proceedings. Any costs incurred in recovering unpaid accounts will be passed onto the respective client.

You have the right to request access to your data, request corrections (if any errors in the data are identified) or deletion at any time. Information will be shared ONLY with your animal’s vet or other veterinary professionals involved in their care for the purposes of keeping them informed of progress of patients under their care as is required by law.
